With a career spanning almost 5 decades and at least 3 different music genres (folk, jazz and pop), Joni Mitchell is one of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century, being every tribute paid to her absolutely well-deserved.
Next Thursday (14th November), some of the best portuguese singers of the last 20 years will pay their homage to the Canadian-born singer-songwriter on yet another Misty Fest event. Amélia Muge, Aline Frazão, Ana Bacalhau (Deolinda), Cati Freitas, Fábia Rebordão, Luísa Sobral, Mafalda Veiga, Manuela Azevedo (Clã), Márcia and Sara Tavares - singers from stylistic backgrounds as diverse as fado, pop and jazz - form a respectable roster which will no doubt honor the beautiful legacy of Mrs. Mitchell.
