One of the veterans of Lisbon independent vinyl shops, VINIL EXPERIENCE is located at Rua do Loreto, right on the bottom of Bairro Alto. Once you get to number 61, go up half flight of stairs, turn left and you're there: a hidden shrine to psychedelia.

Managed by über-60s-connoiseur J. Cunha, it's the right spot if you're looking for psych, prog, kraut or garage rock, even though the selection is wider than that. Used and new vinyl share the place with a selection of CDs as well as assorted merchandise, all on a newly refurbished shop, as appealing as its predecessor.
Don't forget to pay a visit to VINIL EXPERIENCE during your Lisbon record shopping expeditions and FREAK OUT!

Originally a shop on Porto (the capital city of the North of Portugal), LOUIE LOUIE opened a branch in Lisbon (managed by Jorge Dias, one of the pioneers of the used records business in Lisbon), which is nowadays one of the most popular record stores in the city.

Right in the middle of downtown Lisbon, LOUIE LOUIE has a bit of everything for all tastes: CD and vinyl (and also DVDs), used and new, all genres. The new premises (open since June 2013) include a small coffee shop, which only enhances the welcoming feel and the friendly atmosphere of a great place to listen to and buy your favourite music.

Probably the best known used record shop in Lisbon internationally, DISCOLECÇÃO is a obligatory stop for any serious vinyl scavenger. Located at the top of the Calçada do Duque, you should better come from Largo Trindade Coelho rather than from Rossio, or you'll have to climb a bit!

Vitor Nunes is the caretaker of this incredible vault, where you can find anything from SST hardcore original pressings to freejazz classics, Beatles rarities to asian prog-rock curiosities, you name it! And the stock is constantly being renewed! Prices are absolutely fair, and there are pretty good odds that you'll find a bargain.
Though it only stocks used vinyl, DISCOLECÇÃO is the kind of store where the real vinyl collector will always want to come back to.
