VINIL EXPERIENCE

One of the veterans of Lisbon independent vinyl shops, VINIL EXPERIENCE is located at Rua do Loreto, right on the bottom of Bairro Alto. Once you get to number 61, go up half flight of stairs, turn left and you're there: a hidden shrine to psychedelia.

Managed by über-60s-connoiseur J. Cunha, it's the right spot if you're looking for psych, prog, kraut or garage rock, even though the selection is wider than that. Used and new vinyl share the place with a selection of CDs as well as assorted merchandise, all on a newly refurbished shop, as appealing as its predecessor.
