Practitioners of a mixture of western soundtracks, fado instrumentals and Tom Waits atmospheres, the mighty Dead Combo arose 10 years ago, from a meeting between a jazz bassist and an alt.rock guitarist, becoming a sensation almost instantly.
In 2013, Dead Combo continue to push boundaries while expanding their popularity: their 4th album Lisboa Mulata saw them including African influences into their sonic bouquet, while an appearance on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" brought them worldwide visibility. As a part of their 10th anniversary, Pedro Gonçalves and Tó Trips are going to revisit each of their 4 albums during 4 nights at Galeria Zé dos Bois, an excellent opportunity to be introduced to their exquisite soundworld.
